Abdullah Kadiri Commemorated On The 125th Anniversary Of His Birthday
Abdullah Eren, President of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), attended a conference on Abdullah Kadiri, organized by the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY).
A conference, namely, “On the 125th Anniversary of his Birthday, Abdullah Kadiri, Founder of Modern Uzbek Novel,” hosted by TURKSOY, was carried out in cooperation with the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities, Embassy of Uzbekistan in Ankara and Ankara Hacı Bayram University.
The event was attended by YTB President Abdullah Eren, Chief Counselor to the President of Turkey Yalçın Topçu, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Ankara Alisher Agzamkhadjayev, Ambassador of Tajikistan to Ankara Mahmadali Rajabiyon, various academicians and representatives from the literature community.
Speaking at the commemoration ceremony, YTB President Eren underlined the close relations between Turkic Republics and Turkey in recent years. Eren said that they would meet again with the Turkic Council and TURKSOY in an event to be held next week in Germany in order to prepare a road map for joint continuation of the work carried out by the Turkic Republics’ Diasporas.
“If we had very close ties and cooperation with Turkic republics and communities, I think we would be much more involved in world politics following the second half of the 21st century. The culture and arts are a very good start towards this end. TURKSOY has been filling a huge gap in this field since its foundation. We, as the YTB, will continue to commemorate the pioneers of the Turkish world,” Eren added.
Chief Counselor to the President of Turkey Yalçın Topçu offered his thanks to those who have contributed to the event, adding that the cultural activities are the magic key of relations between nations.
