“Experience Sharing Program” organized.
Introduction meeting for the “Experience Sharing Program” to which our citizens abroad and 50 university students attended was organized with the cooperation of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB).
2019 Experience Sharing Program has been organized with the purpose of raising university students’ awareness of global volunteering in cooperation with various institutions and non-governmental organizations, especially the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), Turkish Airlines (THY), Credit and Dormitories Agency, Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT) and Turkey Youth Foundation (TÜGVA).
Serdar Çam, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism who spoke in the organization said that while the economy in the whole wide world is in recession, Turkey is at a point of growth, letting go of its cast to enter new ventures. Çam gave information about the beginnings of the project, stating that the foundations of the project go back to 2014, yet because of the events such as December 17-25 and July 15 Coup attempt, the works could not actually be given start.
Çam highlighted that the selected youth who are experienced and devote an important portion of their time to non-governmental institution activities have an important mission and Çam addressed the youth with the following words. “The world is in a period of change and transformation. In this period of all sorts of perversities, brutalities and atrocities, and in which consumption and merely a materialist outlook prevails, a new generation must come forth that is new, fresh and not full of themselves, a generation that brings to the fore the question “What can I do for my state and my nation?” in order to provide new approaches against the hardships and the threats spread around the world in the 21st Century. Therefore, your observations must not be left within you. You must spread them to the world through writing, drawing, poetry, songs, movies and photographs. Taking this opportunity, I would like to express my gratitude to Anatolian Agency and TRT”.
“In this project, these organizations are means to an end”
Çam underlined that in this activity, these organizations are means to an end and that they are a symbol, and said, “Although we appreciate this as a civil initiative activity, remember that some amongst you shall enter the business life. I believe that many of you can transform this activity into international trade, into what is hard, to exportation and to investment with the friendships you establish in other countries.”
