Notary services provided through consulates to citizens living abroad are facilitated with the required integration between institutions. Our citizens can receive a copy of their notary documents issued abroad, directly from the notaries in Turkey, without the need of sending the related documents to Turkey.

Prior to this new practice, the notary document arranged abroad had to be sent to Turkey via mail. And sending these notary documents to Turkey via mail and using them so as to provide a legal basis could cause to delays amounting to a week or ten days. Postal periods could cause the processes to extend, or in some cases, could cause our citizens to lose their rights.

In order to solve this problem, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Justice and Notaries Union of Turkey came to an agreement to provide the opportunity that a copy of the notary document prepared at our foreign missions can be received from any notary in Turkey by the authorized person. This new practice meets an important demand of our citizens abroad. Thereby, the problem of late arrival of the notary documents of our citizens abroad is solved, and the ability to use notary documents immediately in Turkey following the transaction is rendered possible.
