The finalization and certification program of the ''Diplomacy Academy'' program carried out by the Presidency of Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) in partnership with the Presidency of Religious Affairs Directorate of Diplomacy Academy was conducted. 3 undergraduate, 24 graduate, and 19 PhD students from 26 countries had the chance to meet other students studying in similar fields by means of the Diplomacy Academy. Besides, ambassadors and academics who are experts in their fields gave trainings related to the field of diplomacy in the scope of the program. YTB President Abdullah Eren and Prof. Mesut Özcan, the President of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Diplomacy Academy handed their certificates to the students.

YTB President Abdullah Eren who gave a speech in the program pointed out that the students are open and eager to receive extracurricular trainings offered to them. Stating that they entered into partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Diplomacy Academy, the President Eren said, ''Our international students are open and eager to receive all sorts of extracurricular trainings offered to them, hence our partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Diplomacy Academy. I hope you all gained productive information in trainings you received and visits you paid within the scope of the academy. Our Ministry of Foreign Affairs is one of the most deep-rooted institutional entities in our country. And the history of diplomacy in Turkey is a proof of that. Therefore, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is the best institution to intern with in the field of diplomacy. Having served for long years, the Diplomacy Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has given trainings to thousands of students coming from abroad. I hope you find the opportunity to work in the field of diplomacy and international relations in your respective countries after the trainings you received in Turkey.''

YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO RELATIONS BETWEEN TURKEY AND YOUR COUNTRIES

Reminding about the ''International Student Academy'' programs offered to international students in addition to the Diplomacy Academy, Eren stated, ''You are coming from the four corners of the world to receive education in Turkey. Now you are from Turkey too. You will tell about us when you return to your respective countries, better than we do. We expect you to act as a bridge in terms of the development of relations between your countries and Turkey. Thus, we have initiated 'International Student Academies' to give particular trainings. We contribute in your education by means of International Student Academies serving in many provinces in Turkey.''

Prof. Mesut Özcan, the President of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Diplomacy Academy emphasized that trainings offered by public institutions and NGOs in addition to the education received in the university are productive as well. Özcan stated, ''You acquire a great deal of information during your studies; undergraduate, graduate, or PhD. However, education is not a process limited to the university. NGOs and public institutions offer the opportunity to learn many things as well. In this respect, our academy is a program which can meet your needs to some degree and might inspire your interest in particular subjects. It is certainly not easy to understand and practice all the specifics of diplomacy during the program. Nevertheless, if we have managed to give you hints on essential points and established linages with other organizations at least, it means that the program has reached its goal to a certain extent. I hope that you will keep building up on that. I advise you to participate in such programs in this respect.''
