Together, international students from several countries who are still continuing their education in Turkey with Türkiye Scholarships watched the Turkey-Iceland match. International students coming from different countries to Turkey and continuing their education under Türkiye Scholarships offered by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) watched Turkey-Iceland match together with YTB. Watching the match with YTB President Abdullah Eren, international students’ love for Turkey and their support for the national team reflected in the photographs.

"There are lots of people who love Turkey and look up to it with hope all over the world"

Speaking prior to the match, YTB President Abdullah Eren pointed out that he invited international students to watch the match together and thanked the interest that students have shown for the invitation. Noting that the environment in the viewing room was very delightful, President Eren stated once again he witnessed that Turkey is not limited with Turkey but also has its geography of hearts.

Emphasizing that there are many people who love Turkey and look up to it with hope all around the world, President Eren said "We want to win their hearts and make them smile to the best of our educational opportunities. In this regard, such events are important in order to carry out social activities within the scope of Türkiye Scholarships. We wish our national team luck."

International students participating in the program also voiced their feelings. Seidina Umu Ba Dijalo, a student on Türkiye Scholarships from the Republic of Guinea Bissau, indicated that she has been living in Turkey since 2014, adding that "Turkey is a beautiful country and deserves to win the match with the quality playing." Palestinian student Muhammad Ali thanked YTB for the invitation and the delightful environment where they came to support Turkey.

Kazakh student Karlygash Kanatova thanked YTB who invited them and underscored that they wish Turkey to win the match, wished the national team success.

‘Our support and hearts are always with Turkey whether it wins or not"

The pictures depicting international students' support for the Turkish national team and their enjoyment to watch the game was shared by YTB president on social media account and gathered a great number of likes.

After the match, international students had their photos taken together with Turkish flags and team uniforms. "Although we are miles away from our families, we always thank Turkey for making us feel the warmth of the family. We love Turkey very much. Today, the Turkish national team has exhibited very good match. Our support and hearts are always with Turkey whether it wins or not."
