Meeting Of Turkic Council Diaspora Contact Group Held In Baku
The opening program for the Exchange of Experience among the Diaspora Institutions of the Member States and 5th meeting of the Turkic Council Diaspora Contact Group were held in Baku, Azerbaijan. The meeting was organized jointly by the Turkic Council and the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
An exchange of experience among the ministries and agencies responsible for diaspora issues of the member states of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (CCTS - the Turkic Council) was held in Baku. Fuad Muradov, Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Omer Kocaman, Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council, Abdulhadi Turus, Vice President of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), Meiram Imanbayev, Head of the Office of Interethnic Consent and Interaction with Diasporas of the Public Consent Committee of the Ministry of Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan made speeches during the opening ceremony.Speaking at the meeting, YTB Vice President Turus said that global political and diplomatic developments in recent years revealed once again the importance of cooperation among countries. Turus said that cooperation among the diaspora of the Turkic Council countries in this context is gaining momentum day by day, which has a great importance in determining the world agenda. Stating that YTB have realized many projects for the Turkic world, he added that they would continue their efforts to strengthen the cooperation among the Turkic country diasporas.2019 joint action plan among the Diaspora Institutions of the Member States of the Turkic Council was discussed at the meeting. In accordance with the action plan approved, The Second Turkic Council Diaspora Forum, will be hosted by Turkey in November.
