BIGGEST BORDER GATE AFTER THAT OF MEXICA
Stating that Kapıkule Border Gate is the second biggest and dense border gate of the world after that of Mexica, Minister Ersoy said that YTB and the Governorate of Edirne are working intensely to meet the demands of our citizens. Underlining that there is heavy traffic since entries to Bulgaria are slow, Minister Ersoy continued his words: “Our governorate worked hard this year in order to switch to reservation and parking system. Here, YTB is offering treats. We shall increase our practices each year and improve them. Despite how much we make the border gate comfortable, in the end this a is border crossing to another state. Since Bulgaria cannot perform the services as fast as we can, in summer time when our expats produce heavy traffic, there are queues and great accumulation of people. Hence, we will work with Bulgaria for activities to ease the traffic and render it faster, along with our own work on systems and software that will allow our expats that have to wait here to come in queues. If we can create a transition period in conformance with the capacity of Bulgaria government, then we can reduce the wait time of our expats.”
CITIZENS ARE HAPPY WITH THE PRACTICES
Asking the citizens if they are happy with the practices, Minister Ersoy received congratulations regarding the practices from the expats he has met.
Mustaf İrep, traveling from Isparta to Germany with his family, stated that the parking lot is immense and this allowed them to continue their road feeling rested. Uğur Akkoyun traveling to Belgium stated that Bulgaria received the incomers very slowly, and that a solution has to be found.
