President of the Republic of Turkey, Erdoğan, in his speech during the event organized by Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) and TASC in USA, stated “As it was in history, today as well, Turkey is against all oppressors and is on the side of the oppressed, taking no notice of their identity. Today, Turkey is the most-spending country in the world in global humanitarian assistance with respect to national income. In a period when the developed countries of the world closed their doors to them, we have opened not just our doors, but our hearts as well for the oppressed in Syria.”

President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during his visit to New York for the 74^th Session of the United Nations General Assembly came together with the Turkish community, communities of Turkish descent and Muslim community in USA in the event organized in cooperation between Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) and Turkish American National Steering Committee. President of the Republic of Turkey, Erdoğan, during his speech in the Program, extended his thanks to the citizens that filled the hall and stated that he has brought greetings from Turkey.

“NO ONE CAN BESMIRCH OUR BROTHERHOOD OF THOUSANDS OF YEARS”

Stating that no one can besmirch the brotherhood of Muslims of thousands of years in which they have shared a common civilization and history, President of the Republic of Turkey, Erdoğan declared “No one can divide us by calling us Shiite and Sunnis, blacks and whites, Arabs, Turks, Kurds and Persians. No one can set the people against each other who turn their heads towards Kaaba five times each day, who believe in the same Creator, who say “amen” to the same prayers. As long as we take care of our brotherhood, as long as we keep alive this conversation amongst us, believe that none of our problems are unsolvable.”
