With a new practice aimed at our citizens abroad, our citizens who reside abroad can get their criminal record certificates in foreign language directly from our foreign missions. This practice is realized with the collaboration of Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Formerly, at abroad, criminal record certificates could only be received in Turkish. Our citizens in need of a foreign criminal record certificate had to either apply to the Ministry of Justice’s General Directorate of Criminal Records or place an application through e-Government Gate.

In accordance with the new practice given start, our foreign missions have begun to provide criminal record certificate in 8 foreign languages. From now on, criminal record certificates can be provided in German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Danish and Portuguese.
