Seventh-term Türkiye Internships Certificate Ceremony was held
The seventh-term certificate program of the “Türkiye Internships” program, which is organized by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) for young citizens living abroad, was realized. Young citizens from various countries of the world have been able to do internships in various public institutions and organizations in Turkey for a month.
The seventh-term certificate program of the “Türkiye Internships” program, which is organized every year by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) in order to strengthen the social, cultural and economic ties of young citizens living abroad with Turkey, has been closed with the seventh-term certificate ceremony this year. 69 young people from all over the world spent a month interning in various institutions in Turkey to gain a close recognition of the functioning of the institutions in Turkey. In addition, they also discovered the historical and cultural heritage of our country on the spot through the organized trips. YTB President Abdullah Eren and Istanbul MP Zafer Sırakaya attended the certificate program held in a hotel in Ankara. After the program, the participants were presented with certificates.
THE MOST IMPORTANT TARGET GROUP OF OUR PROGRAMS ARE YOUNG PEOPLE
Delivering a speech in the event, YTB President Abdullah Eren underlined that the most important target group of the programs carried out by YTB is young people. President Eren emphasized that the third and fourth generations living abroad are very well educated and have mastered their culture. Eren added that this knowledge brings certain responsibilities to these generations. Underlining that a powerful diaspora would also make their homeland strong, President Eren said, “The story of your fathers and grandfathers is a success story. In countries where they go with a suitcase, today they are happy to see their own children and grandchildren in many different fields, from politics to economics, from business to academia. You're an example of that. But now we are on the verge of a new era. We're at a new beginning. Therefore, you are an important representative and future of the Turkish diaspora in Europe as a young generation who are well educated.”
Stating that YTB was founded in 2010 mainly for our citizens abroad, President Eren said, “As YTB, we organize a wide range of different programs for Turks abroad. Of course, we're opening a separate bracket for young people. We organize a lot of programs for young people. Türkiye Internships, Diaspora Youth Academy, Youth Camps, Culture Trips, and Human Rights Education programs are among the programs we organize for young people. I kindly ask you not to forget following our programs.”
