Republic of the Sudan Education Minister Mashair Ahmed Elamin Abdalla and his accompanying delegation paid a visit to YTB and met with Abdullah Eren, the President of YTB. The cooperation opportunities between two countries with respect to Türkiye Scholarships and higher education areas were discussed at the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, YTB President Abdullah Eren mentioned the works of YTB.  President Eren said that there were three main areas of work of YTB; Turkish citizens abroad, sister communities and international students in Turkey with Türkiye Scholarships, and underlined the other works carried out by YTB. President Eren indicated that there were 6 million Turkish citizens live abroad and 5 millions of them live in Europe. In addition to that, Eren said “Today, 3.5 millions of Turkish citizens are living in Germany.”  Eren also stated that Turkish citizens migrated within the scope of labor agreements in the rebuilding process of Europe in the 1960s. “Nowadays, these Turkish citizens are maintaining their presence on sensitive positions in the areas of politics, economics, cultural and social life.” Eren said.
