YTB Held A Certificate Ceremony for 11th Human Rights Training Program
In the 11th Human Rights Training Program Certificate Ceremony held by YTB, Prof. Ahmet Haluk Dursun, the Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism stated, "You people coming from different countries and completing this training means a lot for our future. It is of vital importance in order to ensure our cultural and sociological wealth and future."
Prof. Ahmet Haluk Dursun, the Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism addressed the young people who participated in the 11th Human Rights Training Program conducted by the Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), saying, "You people coming from different countries and completing this training means a lot for our future. It is of vital importance in order to ensure our cultural and sociological wealth and future." The students participated in the Human Rights Training Program were awarded their certificates in a ceremony held by YTB in Strasbourg. Dursun, the Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism and Kaan Esener, the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Turkey to the Council of Europe attended the ceremony held in DİTİB (Turkish-Islamic Union for Religious Affairs) in Strasbourg. During his speech Dursun stated, ''The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Presidency of Religious Affairs, and Ministry of Culture and Tourism meeting young people coming from different countries is almost a historical event.'' Pointing out that the Museum for Islamic Civilization which is as important as the Topkapı Palace Museum will be built near the Çamlıca Mosque, construction of which continues in İstanbul; Dursun stated that the new museum will be home to the artworks which are not exhibited in the Topkapı Palace Museum. Dursun added that a concept bringing the mosque and museum together is created there. Stating that a sample of this concept is being prepared in the UK, Dursun said, "You people coming from different countries and completing this training means a lot for our future. It is of vital importance in order to ensure our cultural and sociological wealth and future." Dursun stressed that YTB is an important organization in this respect. Esener said that it is a pleasure to be in the ceremony. Stating that there are individuals among the young people who should be brought in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Esener said that they will carry on supporting young people in terms of education and other matters. Dursun, Erener, and Paçalı presented to the students their certificates following the speeches. In the scope of the 11th Human Rights Training Program that will continue until the 3rd of March in Strasbourg, specialists experienced in the national and international arena will give theoretical training in subjects such as discrimination, hate crimes, the nature of the European Court of Human Rights, and the application procedure. Also, they visited organizations such as the European Court of Human Rights, European Parliament (EP), and European Council in Strasbourg as part of the program. The training program provides the participants coming from many different countries with the opportunity to build networks. 56 university students from 10 countries participated in the program.
