YTB Organizes Iftar Program in Kosovo
The Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) organized iftar program in Kosovo-Prizren in cooperation with Turkey Alumni Association (TÜMEB).
The Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) in cooperation with the Turkey Alumni Association (TÜMEB), organized the iftar program in Prizren, southwest of Kosovo. President of YTB Abdullah Eren, Kosovo Regional Development Minister Rasim Demiri, Kosovo Public Administration Minister Mahir Yağcılar, Turkey Ambassordor to Prizren Çağrı Sakar, Prizren Consulate General Eylem Altunya, the president of TÜMEB Amir Kuleta, representatives of Turkish institutions and organizations, deputies and graduates of Turkey scholarships participated in the Iftar program which was organized this year by YTB as part of the "Cultural Meetings of Geography of Hearts" program for Ramadan month.
The president of the YTB Abdullah Eren came to Kosovo and held a series of official meetings before the iftar, meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Diaspora and Strategic Investment Minister Dardan Gashi in the capital Pristina. Following his meeting with Gashi, Eren went to Yunus Emre Institute in Pristina to make interviews with thousands of international students from Kosovo who applied for Türkiye scholarships to study in Turkey offered each year by YTB. After the interview, President Eren held a meeting with Kosovo Public Administration Minister Mahir Yağcılar and participated in iftar program.

Speaking at the iftar program, YTB President Abdullah Eren underlined that Turkey and Kosovo has a great cultural and historical affinity compared to other countries.
Stressing that Turkey is always working for the prosperity, stability, and peace of Kosovo, President Eren said, "today, the political situation in Kosovo concerns us very closely. As an institution, we are trying to contribute to the development of bilateral relations with all the communities in Kosovo, especially our friends who live here."
Minister of Public Administration of Kosovo Mahir Yağcılar stated that graduates of Turkey are in high-level positions in Kosovo as well as in all Balkan countries and added: "We understand the expression of "Turkey is bigger than Turkey" better in this event."
In his speech, Ambassador Sakar emphasized that they aim to carry excellent relations between Turkey and Kosovo one step further with the support of Turkish graduates.
"We will support the activities of our Kosovo brothers and sisters who have studied in Turkey as Turkish Embassy, "he stated.
After the dinner, the traditional culture-art activities held in Şadırvan Square within the scope of cultural gatherings, drawing the interests of hundreds of people.
After the events, Abdullah Eren, President of the YTB, met with people from related communities in the suhur program at Kosovo's Mamuş.
