YTB President Abdullah Eren celebrates the holiday of our citizens abroad

10 August 2019 Genel

Abdullah Eren, President of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), released a message on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. “Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities continues to add positive values to the effective, strong, humanitarian and exemplary vision of our country on a regional and global scale through its activities in three main areas of activity, including citizens abroad, kindred communities and international students,” president Eren said.

“We continue to implement a wide range of projects and processes in the fields of education, culture, and history for our family-related communities. This year, we have a record of 147 thousand 500 applications from 167 countries around the world to our Türkiye Scholarships program, which is raising volunteer ambassadors for Turkey besides its contributions to the internationalization of higher education in our country. Again, with the summer term of this year, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, we have realized a first beyond our borders, at Serbian entry point, with the police, YTB personnel and international students who know Turkish and Serbian to welcome our citizens who come to our country from abroad, and to meet their needs. We continue our efforts to enrich these activities. I would like to state that our welcoming and supply activities, which started at the border gates of Serbia and continued at other border gates of our country and in many provincial and district centers, will continue within the scope of the send-offs that will begin during the period of return.”

“On this occasion, I wish a safe trip to all our citizens who have been on the road to the motherland to spend the holiday period there,” said President Eren, who also wished for a nice journey during the holiday period to all our citizens abroad; “I congratulate the blessed Sacrifice Feast of our nation and all the geographies whose people face the kiblah; I wish that the feast will bring peace and goodness to the whole humanity” he added.
