YTB Supported Karsu Dönmez to take the stage at “25th Klaipeda Jazz Festival”
World Famous Pianist and Composer Karsu Dönmez of Turkish ethnicity held an unforgettable concert at Lithuania’s 25th Klaipeda Jazz Festival with the support of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities. In the festival attended by citizens abroad and Turkish students, Karsu Dönmez offered a musical feast to the audience.
The World-Famous Pianist and composer Karsu Dönmez with Turkish ethnicity have taken the stage in the 25th Klaipeda Jazz Festival with the support of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB). Karsu Dönmez whose performance was admired by the audience was not left alone by our citizens in Lithuania. Karsu Dönmez who has taken the stage as the final artist on the first day of the Festival, also prepared a surprise in the concert. For the first time, the Turkish singer sang her new songs of her new album to be released in October there. The concert was also attended by Gökhan Turan, the ambassador to Vilnius and the Mayor of Klaipeda, Vytautas Grubliauskas. The young artist expressed her gratitude to our Presidency in her concert.
The Pianist and Composer Karsu Dönmez was a child of a family that have migrated from Hatay to Netherlands, and she was born and raised there. Since her childhood she has achieved international fame with her authentic music. As a daughter of family that migrated in 1970 from Hatay’s Altınözü subprovince Karsu village to Netherlands, she bears the name of their village in Hatay. In her concerts Karsu contributes to the promotion of Turkey and Turkish culture.
