The Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) launched its first work after the year 2019 has been declared as “Professor Fuat Sezgin History of Science Year” in accordance with a Presidential circular letter in order to honour the memory of Professor Fuat Sezgin, as well as the extensive work carried out by him in the field of history of science.

As part of Turkiye Scholarship, a scholarship in the history of science field, namely, “Professor Fuat Sezgin History of Science Scholarship Program” will be given for international students, who are willing to study especially in that field for undergraduate, post-graduate and Phd degrees.

Applications could be made individually through www.turkiyeburslari.gov.tr, and additional incentive scholarships will be granted to successful applicants twice per year throughout their study.

Professor Sezgin’s Life To Be Taught In Universities

Besides Professor Fuat Sezgin History of Science Scholarship Program, the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) will also prepare a syllabus to ensure that the international university students in Turkey could learn Professor Sezgin’s life and works as part of the “International Student Academy”. Within this context, special projects will be carried out for international students who study in our country throughout the year. Furthermore, events such as panels, seminars and conferences will be orgazined with regard to Professor Sezgin’s works for our citizens living abroad and related communities
