YTB Welcomes Turkish Citizens Living Abroad on Their Way to Homeland
The Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), which holds welcoming and farewell ceremonies to Turkish citizens living abroad who come to Turkey to spend their summer holidays, and works to meet various needs of these citizens along the road, has organized welcoming activities in Serbia for the first time this year, with the cooperation of the Ministry of Interior.
The Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), which holds welcoming and farewell ceremonies to European Turks who come to Turkey to spend their summer holidays, and works to meet various needs of these citizens along the road, has started organizing welcoming activities in Serbia for the first time this year, with the cooperation of the Ministry of Interior. Stating that the greeting service has started, YTB President Abdullah Eren continued: "We wish our citizens in Europe will have a more comfortable journey coming to our country this summer. With the cooperation of our Ministry of Interior, we greet our citizens at the border crossings in Serbia, on their road to Turkey, with our own police, officials and our students who speak both Turkish and Serbian."
TURKISH POLICE ALSO PRESENT
As part of the welcoming service started by YTB, Turkish officials and the Turkish police accompanied by the Serbian police undertake efforts to meet the needs of European Turks, while also reminding them of travel security. In addition, scholarship students of YTB who know Turkish and Serbian, as well as the local staff help Turks who may experience communication problems. A vehicle allocated by YTB will be available 24/7 to provide support in any possible adverse situation that may occur along the road.
24/7 CALL CENTER
YTB also announced that as of 1 July, a YTB booth and call center will be established at the Bosphorus Hotel near Niš - one of the transit routes of the citizens so that the citizens who experience any problem during their transit from Serbia can call +381 63 816 20 30 to receive counselling and referral service. In the announcement, it was also stated that the welcoming ceremonies will also be organized at Turkish border crossings. Besides, special events will be held in the provinces and districts frequently visited by Turkish citizens living abroad to help them have a pleasant holiday in their homeland.
