The Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) held the “Youth Meeting” event in Vienna, capital of Austria. Culture and Tourism Deputy Minister Haluk Dursun, Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) President Abdullah Eren, Turkish Consul General to Vienna Asip Kaya and many guests attended the event.

Speaking at the event organized by the YTB in Vienna, Culture and Tourism Deputy Minister Haluk Dursun emphasized the importance of learning the elements of traditional culture by young people. Touching upon the cultural wealth of Anatolia in his speech, Dursun said, “When the cultural wealth of Anatolia is mentioned, tangible works such as architecture come to people’s mind, but what is more important is the intangible cultural heritage.”

Talking about the activities carried out for young people living in Europe, President Eren said that they aimed at the participation of 10 thousand people from Europe especially into youth camps and the cultural mobility program in 2019. Eren added that they would accelerate their efforts towards that end. Stating that they are willing to carry out an organisation, namely, the “Youth Meeting,” in order to bring together the young people living in various European countries who have attended the YTB’s events and that they decided to initiate that series of event from Vienna.
